ABOUT COLLEGE

Maharashtra Institute of Pharmacy (D.Pharm) was born in the year 2006. The College conducts TwoYear D. Pharm DiplomaCourse. The management is committed to provide the students with the necessary environment and the support for their career planningandadvancement.

Though focused to ensure academic and co-curricular facilities to a vibrant student community, the college is conscious of its role as a constructive and responsible component of the larger society. Its consistent and unstinting efforts in this direction are borne out by the fact that students enter the college, young, immature, uncertain, bewildered, but leave its portals still young, but much more mature, self-confident and ready to lead rich lives of their own even while enriching that of the society.

The college is affiliated to M.S.B.T.E. Mumbai, and conducts diploma course in Pharmacy. The institute is approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), PCI New Delhi and Directorate of Technical Education, Mumbai & Government of Maharashtra.

Experienced and well qualified faculty as well as good infrastructure facilities with well-equipped modern laboratories and classrooms with audio-visual aids like LCD/OHP etc. A well designed computer laboratory provides internet facility to individual students.

The college library, with its vast and eclectic collection of books, national and international scientific journals, pharmaceutical magazines and e – journals quenches the thirst for knowledge of both staff and students and gives up most attention to the overall development of the personalityof students. The journey to fulfill the vision of imparting quality education in the field of pharmaceutical sciences has been initiated with great enthusiasm.

With a strong support base from the management and dedicated faculty, the college has acquired excellent reputation. Our students are not only assisted for day to day class work, but also did the Practical’s by the teachers for several competitive exams. Special attention is given to the personality development and interpersonal interaction of the students. The students are encouraged to participate in various extracurricular activities like sports and cultural events. This unfolds the institute's mission of overall development of students which will shape them into future.

It gives me immense pleasure to introduce Maharashtra Institute of Pharmacy (D.Pharm). Chughan Phata, Armori Road Betala Bramhapuri.

The Indian Pharmaceutical Industry, today, is in the forefront of India's science-based industries with wide ranging capabilities in the complex field of drug manufacture and technology. This industry can boast of high quality producers and recognition from many international regulatory authorities. Many international companies have entered this sector in partnership with Indian Companies. Indian professionals have also risen to the challenges of the sector and have stimulated and spearheaded its development to put India on the pharmaceutical map of world.

Globalization of the profession has now thrown up as many challenges and opportunities before those who are involved in this profession. The pharmaceutical industry in India is developing at a galloping pace to catch up with the global markets and to register a significant presence in the globalized scenario. It is a matter of great national pride that many of our companies are enjoying the status of preferred partner by global giants. In this scenario, our academic institutes have a crucial role to play in equipping our students adequately to live up to this grandvision andto enable the industryto meet these challenges.

Maharashtra Institute of Pharmacy (D.Pharm) offers a 2-year academic course in Diploma in Pharmacy. The College is provided with the latest infrastructure and equipments and we have put in place highly qualified dedicated teachers so that the best can be offered to our students. Along with the academic pursuits, the College, within the umbrella of YEES, carries out various extracurricular and cultural activities aimed at total personality development of the students. Our aim is tohelp ourstudents todevelop anintelligent mind with analytical ability so that they always remain in the forefront in whatever pursuit they undertake. In the next few years, the demand for pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists is expected to grow from 500,000 to almost 1.5 million. In short, our aim is to create a top class Institute of Pharmacy that will train future pharmacists who will be committed to the best possible pharmaceutical care to the community and to meet the demands of pharmaceutical industry.

Principal's Desk

The demand for well qualified professional pharmacists has increased man if old sin there cent years. In the year 2006, under the dynamic leadership of Shri D. M. Pise, President, YEES Kurkheda established Maharashtra Institute of Pharmacy, (D.Pharm).

To produce concerned Students with a strong commitment to their responsibilities we seek to ensure a transparent, consistent and equitable administration of diploma programs and awards, evaluation and quality assurance of diploma programs. Placement Officer and Development Officer to train students of Soft Skills have been provided by management.

MIPD has always achieved excellent results in academics and extra- curricular activities bagging prizes and trophies for which it is highly sought after Pharmacy Institute in Vidarbha Region. In near future, several state-of-the-art facilities will be created.

Motto of Maharashtra Institute of Pharmacy (D.Pharm) is to provide quality education to the students. The fundamentals of theoretical and practical base of Pharmaceutical Science are taught to the students from First Year and Second Year.

The role of the Faculty is to support students and the entire MIP community in pursuit of a personal, professional and academic experience second to none.
